The new NATO Secretary General Mark Ruthdid not have time to take office and already met with Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev to reaffirm support of the alliance in Ukraine, as the country faces a difficult situation at the front.
The former Dutch prime minister and the Ukrainian president appeared before the media in Kiev, AFP journalists reported.
Zelensky said they discussed the situation on the battlefield and Ukraine’s “victory plan.”
Zelensky said he would like to see allies shoot down Iranian missiles and drones attacking Ukraine, just as they did during attacks on Israel.
The Ukrainian president also called on allies to allow deep strikes into Russian territory.
