The Iranian president Massoud Pezeskian assured today that Iran “does not seek war”, but promised that if Israel retaliates for yesterday’s missile attack, a “stronger response” will follow.
If Israel retaliates, “we will have a stronger response,” he said at a joint press conference with Qatar’s emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Doha.
Iran “does not seek war”, assured Pezheskian and he blamed Israel that “forces us to react”.
THE President of Iran traveled to Qatar the day after the rocket attack on Israel. According to Tehran, 90% of Iranian missiles hit their targets.
A large number of rockets were intercepted, the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) said, noting that some rockets hit air bases but did not cause significant damage.
A Palestinian was killed in the occupied West Bank and two Israelis were injured elsewhere in Iran’s missile attack on Israel, the second since last April.
“The evil aim of the Zionist regime is to sow insecurity and spread crisis in the (wider) region,” complained Iran’s president, urging Americans and Europeans to pressure Israel to “stop the bloodshed.”
With its attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israel is expelling it middle East “node edge of the abyss“, warned the Emir of Qatar.
He also denounced Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, ensuring that Doha will continue its mediation efforts with the aim of reaching a ceasefire agreement in the war triggered by Hamas’ October 7 attack in southern Israel.
