R. KellyJohn’s daughter broke down in tears as she told how she once looked up to her father in awe… but his multiple convictions for sex crimes later destroyed her world.
In the trailer for “R Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey”, Joana Kelly admits that there was a time when his father was his “everything”… but when his convictions for possessing child pornography and engaging in sexual acts with underage girls came to light, it completely changed his life.
Joann notes that no one wants to be the son of someone who hurt women and children – adding that her father knows exactly why they can’t have the relationship she hoped for.
Joann, who appears pregnant in the clip, says that her son won’t have much of a relationship with his father either – making it clear that there is no way she will take him to visit his grandfather in prison.
Kelly’s ex-wife, Drea Kelly – along with Joann’s brothers Jaah Kelly and Roberto Kelly Jr. – also delve into what life was like growing up in the shadow of one of the music industry’s most notorious names in the doc, which will be released on October 11th.
The disgraced singer is serving a 20 year prison sentence at the Chicago Metropolitan Correctional Center. He was convicted on 6 of 13 counts in 2022, which included the production of child pornography.
