Your president Iran Massoud Pezeskian stated that the its missile attack against Israel was done in defense of the interests and citizens of Iran, warning X that Tuesday’s operation was “only part of our power”.
“This action was taken to defend the interests and citizens of Iran. “So that (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu knows that Iran is not a warmonger, but stands resolutely against any threat,” he wrote. “Do not enter in conflict with Iran.”
Khamenei’s warning
In a message published on X, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned in Hebrew that the “attacks” against Israel would become “stronger and more painful”.
“With God’s help, the blows of the rebel front will become stronger and more painful on the worn out and rotten body of the Zionist regime,” he said.
The barrage comes after Israel launched a ground operation along its northern border with Lebanon, targeting the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group. Israel killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike last Friday, increasing the fear of a new regional war.
