No longer a well-kept secret:
Some Mormon wives have VERY interesting lives!
This became clear in the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered this summer on Hulu and introduced viewers to swinging, TikTok-dominating women who are even related to Ben Affleck.
Considering all the buzz surrounding this project, many fans continue to ask:
Will there be a second season of Secret Lives of the Mormon Wives?
“There are so many stories these women have to share,” said the producer Danielle Pistotnik told Us Weekly as part of the tabloid’s latest cover story.
“Their education is incredibly moving – a lot of them – and it’s very inspiring to hear.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is an eight-part reality series that followed influencers who got caught in a rocking sex scandal.
Along with their loved ones, the cast consisted of Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura and Layla Taylor.
Hulu has not yet greenlit Season 2.
“If we get to do another season, I really want these women to be able to talk about what brought them to where they are today,” Pistotnik also told Us. “(Scenes that ended up on the paper cut) was really just a function of the amount of time we had.”
The executive added:
“We talked to them (before filming) and asked, ‘What’s going on in her life? What do you feel comfortable talking about? It’s true that there were eight episodes, so a lot was left out.
“We hope that if we get another chance to do this, these stories can be shared. But we really took on the leadership of women and what was meaningful in their lives at the time.”
The series particularly attracted attention last month for revealing that several contestants were in an open marriage and that they often attended “soft swing” meetings.
Another executive producer, Jeff Jenkins, spoke to the same outlet and said that a potential second season could shed even more light on these unusual types of parties.
“There are some pieces missing from the story. Because when you really take everything apart from our season, Taylor Frankie Paul is the only one who was really there. She had her boots on the ground for the gentle swing,” Jenkins explained to Us.
“So there are some other MomTok friends of Taylor’s that we’re looking at.
“There are holes in the story and there is more to say. Every season of a hit series, I would love to introduce a new cast member or two. It just keeps it alive and interesting and gives a new perspective.”
The first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently available to stream on Hulu.
