In the new scenario of terror that is being created in the Middle East, after yesterday’s invasion “directed” by Israel in southern Lebanon, Tel Aviv is preparing for an Iranian attack, with unpredictable consequences.
In a major escalation that threatens to trigger an all-out war in the region, the New York Times reports that an Iranian attack on Israel is expected within the next 12 hours, although the White House is talking about a deadline of 24 to 48 hours.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galnat assesses the situation in a meeting with the IDF Chief of Staff and senior officials.
Three Israeli military air bases are expected to be targeted, as well as a secret service headquarters (Mossad and Unit 8200) located near Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv. The specific facilities were evacuated on Tuesday afternoon.
According to American and Israeli estimates, the attack will be similar or greater in scope to what occurred last April and will likely include ballistic missiles, drones and cruise missiles, although according to the website Axios, the attack will only occur with ballistic missiles that can reach Israel in 12 minutes.
