Everyone’s politics are up for discussion these days and Mark Ruffalo is no exception.
The Marvel star doesn’t shy away from a fight, whether as the Hulk or as himself – and especially in the political arena.
With the 2024 election almost upon us, Mark is stepping up his efforts to encourage his followers to get involved and, more importantly, informed.
But what exactly are Mark Ruffalo’s policies? He is attacking Republican candidate Donald Trump one minute and the next, he’s criticizing Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Mark Ruffalo is not a shy guy. Much of what you want to know about the guy, including his political leanings, can be gleaned just by looking at his social media.
For example, in his biography
Right there, you know he supports candidates who are working to make improvements to combat climate change.
Because of this, he is known for criticizing both Democrats and Republicans.
In the summer of 2024, after the right-wing trend Supreme Court decided to overturn Following Chevron’s long-standing deference, Mark’s response went viral.

Campaigning for Kamala, calling out the Democrats
Cutting to the chase, Mark Ruffallo is a Democrat. He campaigned for Biden in 2020 and then picked up the mantle again to support Kamala Harris in 2024.
Your endorsement goes far beyond mere words. He participated in several rallies leading up to the debate. This included a virtual Heroes 4 Harris Kamala-Con on Sunday, September 8th.
Mark joined stars like Rosario Dawson, Mandy Patinkin, Sean Astin and Alex Winter in fundraising for the Democratic candidate.
But just because he leans left doesn’t mean he won’t call them out when he doesn’t agree with them.
This is what politics should be: healthy, friendly discourse on issues.
For example, Mark criticized Gavin Newsom, governor of California, for his veto of a bill that Mark had been championing for some time.
“Despite broad support from AI creators, the public, unions, and the majority of Californians, Governor Gavin Newsom has decided to veto SB1047,” he wrote in X.
“Like it or not, Newsom’s explanation echoes the influence that the fossil fuel industries have had on politicians in the past, or the chemical industry’s method of delaying regulation of “chemicals forever” by claiming they were an “economic engine.” ”. This is dangerous thinking and has led to catastrophic results time and time again.”
Then, not to exaggerate, he added:
“The need for comprehensive regulation of AI remains urgent and unresolved. If Governor Newsom does not act, others must.”
Strong words from someone who could influence a vote.
But honestly – Why does anyone care!?
To be frank, the conversation surrounding Mark Ruffallo’s and most celebrities’ politics right now is at the forefront because of the election.
If you are Taylor Swift or Rob LoweKevin Costner or Beyoncé, fans are interested in knowing how their favorite stars will vote in November.
Does this make a significant difference? Depends on who you ask. Obviously, it was a big deal for Trump to lose Swift’s endorsement, and it didn’t hurt that voter registration soared after she posted for Kamala.
But ultimately, whatever happens in November will have very little to do with celebrities and much more to do with people.
