Following the massive double eviction of siblings (kid!) on Thursday, the five fight for (tiny) power as alliances are tested and trust erodes, leaving a new head of the family with enormous determination that can decide the game.
It seems Double Eviction (Kid!) was the only wish to end Angela, who managed to escape the Block six times before she was finally evicted at the end of Thursday’s live massacre. With her and Leah’s deaths, only two factions remained in the House.
Kimo and Rubina have been pawns for most of the season, doing what they can behind the scenes but almost entirely unable to control their own destinies openly with competitive wins (Kimo got her second during the double, while Rubina still only has one).

For the record, Cam also only has one, which means it was Chelsie and especially Makensy who did all the heavy lifting to keep their high-energy trio so deeply involved in the game. Cam simply connected his floating balloon to the best individuals from the start.
This latest episode featured a huge mistake by Chelsie during the Double Eviction, where she occupied all the skill, but one that in the end didn’t matter.
If it seemed like Angela seemed more resigned to her fate during the second eviction of the night, that’s because Chelsie basically revealed her plan right in Angela’s face. Hey, things are changing quickly.
When Angela came to talk to her after Chelsie’s Veto and Head of Household wins, the HOH told her, “Well, this didn’t go as planned, but I need to come up with an alternative. I’m asking who would need to go up.
That’s right, she basically told Angela that she’s open to anyone being a pawn alongside her because Angela is her goal. In the Diary Room, she reflected on her mistake, noting, “I hope she leaves in just a minute, so it might not really matter.”
Hopefully this came true, and based on her exit interview with Julie Chen, it looks like Angela won’t hold a grudge against Chelsie for it either. Anyway, game respects game and Angela was sure she would have won this game if she had made it to the end (and she had a convincing argument).

Tiny energy
With the double behind them, the Remaining Five began celebrating even before the door hit Angela on Thursday night. But it was short-lived as they almost instantly switched to game mode and combat mode.
The long-running little competition was for Head of Household this season, and had the added bonus of being a vertical puzzle as well as a small stack with large tongs. Having to rearrange 30 little blocks into the correct order may seem easy when the puzzle is assembled at the bottom, but when you’re stacking them and it falls over, it’s chaos.
“Oh, it’s tiny!” mentioned the departure of HOH Chelsie, who was therefore ineligible to play. “Shut up, I’ll get my rooster wings!”
She then settled down to watch one of the most worrying competitions for her side of the house, because if Kimo or Rubina managed to pull off this win, they would definitely score Chelsie’s side with Makensy and Cam. This one was for all the items!
It was definitely a nail biter, although the clever fit means we can’t really know if it was as tight as it might have felt on certain occasions. What we know is that everyone fought. And we all know that in the long run, Makensy continued his competitors’ dominance along with his seventh total win. This puts her ahead of Tucker’s early dominance!

Feminine energy?
At this point, it looks like Makensy and Chelsie could easily trade wins at the end of this game, although Makensy is arguably the biggest competitive threat at home. Does that mean the Home would shoot her if given the chance?
In fact, with the way vetoes have been used this season (as they have every time), we wouldn’t be surprised. These players have been facing one threat after another for as long as the game has been going on, even when they have had to fight through the AI Environment to do so!
A revealing conversation between Makensy and Chelsie seemed to set the stage for the two to ride or die to the end, despite Chelsie’s initial alliance with Cam. But watching him dither and pause during the HOH competition didn’t earn Chelsie any favors. , who was counting on him or Makensy to keep her protected.
“Cam, what are you–? Are you praying? Are you meditating? Chelsie mused as she watched him turn and look away mid-competition. Cam has come close to succeeding several times, but he really isn’t taken care of by his team. This won’t do you any favors in the end.
At the same time, this is the big question facing the Houseguests at the end of the game. Want to have the most adventure with someone who hasn’t had much company in their own game? Or do you want to live with someone who fought and fought alongside you all summer — and therefore might want a stronger case with the jury?

Puppet Master Energy
Rubina is considered the most expendable of the players, but she has been pushing for female power at the end all season. And after Makensy’s latest win, she dropped a worm in the mission manager’s ear that Chelsie had recommended that if Rubina won during the double, she should go after “big targets”.
It was a clear indication that Makensy should focus, but when Makensy directly asked Chelsie about it, Chelsie used her spell on her ally and smoothed the waters. As Chelsie herself noted, she practically had more energy outside of energy than when she had it.
The last time Makensy had the energy, Chelsie convinced her to defeat Leah, who was a longtime ally of Makensy. This would still spell doom for Makensy in this game, as we have no doubt that Chelsie would eliminate her if she thought it could benefit her game.
Right now, it seems like women are at least somewhat stuck until the end. We can see them persevering in taking out big threats (i.e. Kimo and Cam), but then reconsidering if it all comes down to the two of them and Rubina.
If Rubina can’t gain any energy at that point, we could see them wanting the easy route to victory. So it will be up to Rubina to argue that being ineffective and disposable throughout the season and reaching the end is a reason to win. It’s a powerful promotion, but it’s there.
But first she has to survive the Bloc. For now, Makensy took the flat road and placed Kimo and Rubina. Depending on who wins the Veto, this could change and reach 12 to 12 uses of the Veto. If Kimo or Rubina win, Makensy will have to throw one of her own, and that could be Cam.
At the same time, if Chelsie or Makensy win, you know they might at least consider shooting Cam, anyway. We’re not sure if he would consider doing one on Chelsie, but she’s a stronger mind than he is, so that’s intentional. Women have all the ability!

Chelsie Baham (27, non-profit director) would not like energy to consume energy. Once again, we see how well she is manipulating her young accomplice in crime to facilitate her own game. Makensy is currently committed to bringing Chelsie to term, while we’re not sure if Chelsie would do the same. Chelsie is so well positioned to win this game it’s crazy. (Grade: A-)
Makensy Manbeck (22, late development) has a strong probability of placing second even when Chelsie takes her all the way, or first if she or someone manages to eliminate Chelsie at any level before final night. This is a long shot, though, and requires courage on Makensy’s part (we’re not sure if she’s strong enough to take him on) or a victory for Kimo or Rubina forcing the challenge. (Grade: B-)
Rubina Bernabé (35, event bartender) could be in the best position of her season and will get a second place finish if both women above her in this game decide to take the easy route to the end. Either way, they’re upset with Cam, and since he’s never been in power, they can’t be sure he could take away from him stronger competitor in the end if he really wanted to win something. If Rubina were to win, it could derail everything, but we suspect they are banking on her not succeeding at anything. (Grade: C)
Cam Sullivan-Brown (25 years old, bodywork therapist) is starting to frustrate his personal alliance along with his lack of efficiency. It’s difficult to sign someone who should be a competitive beast all season and then see him seemingly not giving his all in both competitions. He’s also easy to beat in the end, but would they accept the possibility of him doing something crazy in terms of power? Without his allies, he would have been gone a long time ago, so do they still owe him anything? (Grade: C-)
Kimo Apaka (35, mattress sales) could be the biggest threat at the moment, because the House knows it has a good social game, it can make a strong speech based on issues outside the game (it survived the Block so far with this tactic) . This means he’s a better target to get up and leave now because he too could gain something and really mess things up by focusing on the women who work on the show. (Grade: D+)
