Weather conditions may be creating a feeling of a long summer so far, but the first estimates of what will happen to the price have already begun heating oil.
The president of Attica gasoline sellers, Maria Zaga, speaking to SKAI, estimated that heating oil will begin to be available at close to a price 1.10 – 1.15 euros per liter.
He also mentioned that “with today’s data, it will go to 1.10 – 1.15 euros in Attica, as heating oil prices have fallen compared to last year”.
Subsequently, the president of Attica gas stations highlighted that the sector faces reduction of oil tax heating, instead of a heating subsidy: “If the tax is reduced, then the price will drop in 20 to 25 minutes and will go to 0.90 to heat all of Greece. It will also be an experiment for the rest of the fuels.”
When asked about the loss of tax revenue for the state, Ms. Zaga responded that “if you reduce EFFK, sales will increase and the government will gain in taxes. He will lose trade.”
