MLB Legend Pete Rose died at age 83, TMZ Sports Activities realized.
Rose, Major League Baseball’s king of success, passed away earlier this time at his home in Las Vegas… where he was discovered by a family member.
Pete’s agent, Ryan Fiterman of Fiterman sports activitiesconfirmed the information, adding… “the family is asking for privacy now.”
The reason for Pete’s death is unclear. Clark County ME (NV) has Rose’s physical and they will perform an autopsy this week.
Pete was at the Fiterman Sports Group meeting in Nashville on Sunday afternoon. Rose was in a wheelchair, but we were told that’s just the reason why her back was hurting. He appeared to be in good spirits, taking photos and signing autographs for crowds of followers.
Rose even took a photo alongside Large Purple Machine teammates Dave Conceição, George Foster, Tony Pérezand Ken Griffey Sr.
Pete, nicknamed “Charlie Hustle” for his tenacious play, was one of the greatest baseball players to grace a diamond, earning 17 All-Star Game nominations, winning three World Collection titles and the 1973 NL MVP.
No player in the 100-plus year history of Major League Baseball has had more hits than Pete, who accumulated an astonishing 4,256 hits in his 24-season career.
Rose also led MLB in games played (3,562), hits (15,890) and plate appearances (14,053).
Within the discipline, Rose was very versatile… enjoying first base, second base, third base and the outfield.
Pete spent most of his legendary career with the Cincinnati Reds, but also played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Montreal Expos, before returning to Cinci and ending his career as a player-manager.
Rose hung up the ends for good (as a participant) in 1986.

In fact, Rose was not without controversy. He was banned from baseball by the MLB commissioner Bart Giamatti in 1989, after the league decided he would bet on baseball.
After denying for years that he had bet on baseball, Pete finally admitted it in the mid-2000s.
“The Reds are heartbroken to learn of the passing of baseball legend Pete Rose,” the group said of Pete’s passing.
Despite being clarified, MLB never lifted the lifetime ban, despite Rose – who was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame – being considered one of the best players of all time.
Now, in the end, it remains to be seen whether Pete will finally have his rightful place in Cooperstown.
