“American Selectmen” Star Frank Fritz died… his longtime colleague and friend, Mike Wolfeconfirmed.
Fritz’s co-star posted to Instagram and Facebook on Tuesday, sharing the tragic news with fans … confirming that the reality TV veteran died on Monday night.
He wrote… “It is with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night. I (known) Frank for more than half my life and what you saw on TV was always what I saw, a A dreamer who was as sensitive as he was funny. Same as he was off camera, Frank had a way of reaching so many people’s hearts just by being himself.
As Wolfe continued, he remembered their friendship before filming “American Pickers”… which documented their search for rare artifacts and national treasures.
He added… “Before the show, we would go together to places we never knew existed, with no destination in mind and just the shared passion of discovering something interesting and historic. We’ve been on countless trips and shared so many miles and I feel Blessed to be by his side as he took one last trip home.”
MW signed his note sharing his love for Fritz, noting that he knew his colleague was now in “a better place.”
Wolfe did not share any details about the cause of death.
Fritz’s passing comes 2 years after he was hospitalized for a stroke… which caused his presence on “American Pickers” to diminish.
He was 60 years old.
