2025 Suzuki Access 125 to get major upgrades in terms of style and features
The Suzuki Access 125, one of Suzuki’s best-selling two-wheelers in India, has been tested once again ahead of its expected launch next year. This marks another round of updates for the scooter, which was last updated eight years ago. Despite its age, the Access 125 continues to be a strong competitor in the Indian scooter market, consistently performing well in terms of sales. The upcoming update appears to focus on cosmetic changes while retaining many of the scooter’s familiar mechanical features.
Cosmetic and practical updates
According to the latest spy images, the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 will feature a redesigned headlight, giving it a sharper appearance compared to the previous model. While the front apron and fender will remain largely unchanged, the rear of the scooter is expected to sport a new one-piece handrail and an updated mudguard, along with a heat-shielded exhaust system. Additionally, Suzuki may introduce a larger floor and increase under-seat storage capacity, increasing the scooter’s practicality for daily commuting.
Feature and equipment additions
The new model is expected to bring minor feature updates, including the possible addition of emergency lights. The current model is already equipped with features such as a USB charging port and luggage hooks, making it a complete offering in terms of convenience. The 2025 model may also undergo changes in the color options of the wheels and alloy seats, depending on the variant.
Engine and performance
Under the hood, Suzuki is expected to maintain the tried and tested 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which currently produces 8.7 PS at 6,750 RPM and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 RPM. The engine will continue to be paired with a CVT transmission, providing users with a smooth and effortless drive. The suspension setup will likely remain unchanged, with telescopic front forks and a single rear spring setup.
Price and market position
The current Suzuki Access 125 costs between Rs. 82,300/- and Rs. 93,000/- (ex-showroom) depending on the variant, which includes options like Drum, Disc, Special Edition and RideConnect. Pricing for the updated model has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to remain competitive. When launched, the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 will continue to compete with other popular models in the 125cc scooter segment such as the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125 and Yamaha Fascino 125.
While the updates to the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 appear to be mostly cosmetic, the scooter is expected to maintain its position as a practical and reliable option for Indian travelers. With subtle design tweaks, potential new features and the same reliable performance, it will likely appeal to both existing Suzuki customers and buyers new to the market.
