A 45-year-old man who fled from Omonia Police Station was arrested last night by Immediate Action officers.
As it turned out, the 45-year-old man, who had been brought in because convictions were pending against him, took advantage of the confusion that prevailed at some point in the Department and managed to escape police control and escaped. The alarm was raised immediately and shortly afterwards the 45-year-old man was located by police and arrested.

“A 45-year-old citizen, who had previously escaped from Omonia Police Station, was arrested this evening (September 29, 2024) by officers from Omonia Police Station with the assistance of Immediate Action officers.
In particular, the 45-year-old man was brought in at noon on the same day, by patrolling police officers from the DI.AS Team. at the aforementioned Police Station, because when checking his data in a database on a device carried by the patrols, he was hired as processed.
Upon arriving at the Police Station, the prisoner was taken to the temporary detention area to check his charging documents.
Once the procedure was completed, while awaiting collection by a competent Security Service, the inmate escaped and was pursued by the police, and the Immediate Action Center was informed, where the coordination of forces managed to locate the wanted inmate. .
