The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces today invited the families of those missing from the Israeli attacks on Lebanon go to DNA testing centers, as the corpses and human parts have not yet been identified.
“In order to assist the families of those missing in the Israeli attack on Lebanon, and to facilitate the identification of unidentified victims or human limbs, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces asks family members of the missing go to the Judiciary Police centers to to provide the samples needed for DNA testing“, as reported by APE.
A week ago, Israel launches massive airstrikes in many areas of Lebanon as part of the escalation with Hezbollah, whose leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed on Friday, September 27, in an attack in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
In a press conference held on Saturday, the Minister of Health, Firas Abyadstated that the bodies are still under the rubble and that people are missing.
On social media, victims’ families are appealing for help in locating the bodies, while an AFP correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that many hospital morgues are full of bodies that families are unable to bury or identify.
From mid-September, the number of deaths in Israeli attacks in many areas of Lebanon it exceeded 1,000, according to authorities.

THE Israeli special forces began small attacks aimed at southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army declined a request for comment.
The attacks are the latest indication that Israel is preparing the ground for a major ground invasion of Lebanon, although the Israeli government does not appear to have made a final decision yet.
Previously, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikatisaid the country is “ready to send troops south of the Litani River” for Hezbollah forces to withdraw. Israel conditioned the ceasefire on the movement of Hezbollah forces north of the Litani River, away from the Israel-Lebanon border.
