A woman in Spain was tragically gored to death by a wild bull during a festival in the city, and the shocking incident was caught on camera.
In the clip, you can see the 60-year-old woman dressed in red crossing the street in Enguera, near the city of Valencia, before the bull attacks her from behind, causing her to fall to the ground.
The unidentified woman went flying, hitting her head hard on the pavement and suffering a horrific armpit wound from one of the bull’s horns.
You can see a crowd of spectators rushing to her aid as emergency services fight to save her. Unfortunately, she died on the way to the hospital.
Since Sunday’s incident, people online have questioned the security measures that allowed the distracted woman to wander into the area where the bulls were running loose.
The City Council responded by curbing some of the festivities linked to the celebrations of its patron saint… and the mayor of Enguera, Matilde Marinasaid the city is in a “state of shock” following the woman’s tragic death.
