Patti Smith will be honored with a concert dedicated to her work at New York’s Carnegie Hall in March 2025.
The proceeds raised from the charitable musical event entitled “People Have The Power: A Celebration Of Patti Smith” will go towards the musical training of underprivileged young people.
The special guests who will sing on the show have not yet been announced.
Patti Smith’s concert is the 20th annual event in the “Music Of” series started by City Winery founder Michael Dorf.
Previous concerts have honored Crosby, Stills & Nash, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Aretha Franklin and Talking Heads.
Patti Smith recently released a scrapbook called “A Book of Days.” Earlier this year, he covered Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness’ and toured Europe.
From September to November they are touring cities in the USA.
