As expected, Shania Twain was in attendance at Thursday’s People’s Country Choice Awards.
What the fans did no The expectation, however, was that Shania would present yet another bold new look for the occasion.
As we previously reported, Shania was described as “unrecognizable” in recent months.
The change in Shania’s appearance
Critics claimed she did some work. Some have gone so far as to insist that the country’s icon is “addicted” to plastic surgery.
But as recently as 2023, Shania insisted she never went under the knife (more on that later).
Whatever the case, the 59-year-old showed off yet another surprising look on the red carpet last night.

Shania’s latest glow was all the rage on Thursday. And she revealed that she was involved every step of the way, even helping to design her custom Levi’s denim dress.
“Isn’t that crazy? I loved it,” said Shania AND! News on the red carpet.
“I was involved with the sketches and the design and the silhouette and everything. For me, that is the joy,” she added.
“It’s not about wearing something amazing – it’s about being part of it.”
Fans praise Shania’s new look
“Shania Twain in her unapologetic era. I loved this for mom,” an observer wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Shania is in her idgaf era and just living and loving life! And I don’t blame her. She went through a lot of losing her voice and having to have open throat surgery while she was awake to fix it,” another added.
Yes, Shania has been through a lot in recent years.
And through it all, she was forced to deal with some nasty comments about her appearance.
But despite some haters’ insistence that she has repeatedly gone under the knife, Shania insists she has never had any work done.
“I’ve reached a point where no, I’m not going to do it,” Shania said in Today in response to plastic surgery rumors.
“Maybe that was part of what led me to say, ‘OK, it’s time to start loving yourself in your own skin,’” she continued.
“Because I certainly have a lot of friends who have had very successful surgeries. But I also saw others who weren’t as successful.”
We’re sure Shania would prefer positive attention over negative.
But either way, after more than thirty years in the business, the music legend is as relevant as ever. And we hope she’s proud of the fact that she’s still the only one.
