Israel’s prime minister said he does not plan to participate in the UN General Assembly this year because his country is at war “fighting for its life”.
However, he added, he finally decided to move to New York after “the lies and slander” heard in the UN General Assembly plenary about his country. He also said that Israel is seeking peace.
According to the BBC, when Netanyahu took the stage for his speech, many leaders left the room in protest.
