After the first cycle of successful shows, Maria Tsima’s tale, adapted and directed by Grupo PROZAc, returns to the stage at Teatro 104, every Monday and Tuesday for just 8 performances (from Monday, October 14, 2024, to Tuesday, November 5, 2024).
A few words about the project
Through Kristella’s narrative a coming-of-age story unfolds in a place more foreign than others see as foreign. Kristella grows up in Athens. In Pagrati. Her mother is away most of the time. She takes care of an elderly man. She takes care of her daughter. She doesn’t want to miss anything. Alone. Like when they left Albania in search of a better future. Cristella grows, studies, has fun, falls in love, lives. She is no longer alone. Alone you become nobody.
Director’s note
How does time sleep?
Maybe with a lullaby.
Maybe with the sound of the sea.
Maybe it floats like a bag in water.
Maybe you’ll end up in a land full of bottles with words like root, migration, memory, loss, margin, love, stereotypes, toil, loneliness, suffocation, gender violence, femicide.
Or maybe he never sleeps.
Cristella enters the room. She leans her back against the wall and unties her ponytail. If there were, he would never open this chamber.
But let’s start from the beginning….

A few words about the PROZAc team
PROZAc Theater Group was created in 2023 in Athens. They are composed of: Maria Kambouri, Panagioti Kontari, Nikos Palioura, Pavlos Papachristou, Nefeli Tzeveleki, Natasha Tsamba and Aliki Holeva. The group’s objective is to communicate theatrical and non-theatrical texts as new artistic proposals, transforming the scenic act into a contemporary dialogue with the public. A fundamental pillar of the group is the co-configuration of an aesthetic result that allows its members to display a common artistic brand.
Note from Maria Tsima
There are many new children you meet in the teaching process. There are also some whose talent, energy, ethos and imagination captivate because they dedicate themselves to art in a sincere, deep and human way. Restless and poetic spirits. It is a great honor and responsibility for me that they chose Kristella because young people are furiously seeking the truth. Maria, Panagioti, Nikos, Pavlos, Nefeli, Natasha and Aliki, you give Kristella the opportunity to talk about violence, racism and abuse and to look us in the eye. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish the PROZAc team a good start.
