Mayor Eric Adams is dealing with some pretty critical costs… with the US attorney simply revealing the charge against him – however, don’t worry about his motive, he seems totally gleeful.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office just revealed the 57-page indictment… and sent out a press release stating it accused the mayor of campaign finance, bribery and conspiracy charges.
According to the indictment, Damian Williams – the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York – claims that Adams sought and accepted undue valuable benefits from foreign businesspeople and from at least one Turkish government official who sought to exert influence over him.
Williams says that when Adams became mayor, he provided favorable therapy to those who gave him these supposed advantages.
Williams claims that contributions to Adams were smuggled from foreign countries and paid through US-based straw donors – allowing foreign contributors to exert influence over American elections.
Additionally, Williams says, Adams benefited from a city program where smaller donations are matched up to eight times their value. Williams says Adams funneled money from major donors through multiple individuals in smaller amounts to fraudulently receive millions in public funds for his election campaign.

Williams also says he received travel benefits from a Turkish government official…allowing him to fly around the world at no cost or at discounted rates – something they say he did not confide in the public.
They are charging Adams with five counts… one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bribery for federal programs and obtaining marketing campaign contributions from foreign nationals, one count of wire fraud, two counts of solicitation of contributions by a foreign country , and one depends on bribery.

As you recognize… Mayor Adams was indicted Wednesday although the costs remained sealed while the US Attorney’s Office acquired its back-to-back geese.
This included breaking into the Gracie Mansion – New York City Mayor’s official residence on the Upper East Side – on Thursday morning. Several brokers in black suits carrying luggage marched down the driveway to the front door.
However, Adams clearly isn’t nervous… because he simply made a public statement saying he wouldn’t resign – and even five federal costs couldn’t wipe the big smile off his face.
