A subway station in San Francisco was the scene of a shooting in which police took photos of a person they said was armed with a firearm… and it’s all on video.
New police body camera footage shows SFPD officers firing a barrage of gunfire at the suspect as he walked through the underground BART station on Powell Road.
Police said the man was brandishing a gun and was leading police on a chase through the city before he was shot in front of passengers, who had to duck for cover.
The suspect, who police recognized as being 30 years old Justin Councilmanwill step down an escalator just before police open fire… and the bullets will send him falling to the ground with what the SFPD described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say it all started when patrol officers noticed the man sleeping in a stolen white BMW around 10 a.m. on Sept. 13, with a gun in plain sight next to him in the passenger seat.
SFPD says the suspect ran and led them on a twisting chase that ended at the BART station… and police say they recovered a revolver loaded with 5 bullets.
