Caitlin Clark and a fan on the court got into such a bizarre fight on Wednesday night… security had to get involved in an apparent attempt to calm things down.
The curious scene took place in the first quarter of the Indiana Fever’s playoff game against the Connecticut Sun… after a foul on the court.

After apparently exchanging words with a man in the second row, Clark caught the referees’ attention — and pointed at the guy. She looked irritated … and moments later, arena officials tapped the man on the shoulder and escorted him away from the area.
After a brief conversation… the man was reportedly allowed to return to his seat — and there appear to have been no further problems.
“Keep your focus on what’s on the ground.”

Oddly, Clark was not asked directly about the incident, but during a brief interview between the first and second quarters, she said she needed to “stay focused on what’s on the court.”
Clark and the Fever would go on to lose the game 87-81… ending the phenom’s rookie season.
It wasn’t the only notable moment the league had with its fans throughout the night… as the Connecticut star Alyssa Thomas accused Fever fans of making racist comments during the Sun’s two-game series against Indy and beyond.
Alyssa Thomas denounced the hate Sun players face from Fever fans, saying she had never experienced such racial comments before:

“In my 11-year career,” she said after Wednesday night’s win, “I have never experienced racial comments from the Indiana Fever fan base. It’s unacceptable. Honestly.”
Shortly afterward, the WNBA said in a statement that it “will not tolerate racist, derogatory or threatening comments made about players, teams or anyone affiliated with the league.”
The Sun will now play Minnesota in their next playoff series.
As for Clark, she joked that she might start playing golf now that her first season in the WNBA is over.
