New Heights
Travis Kelceis making it quite clear that he is not discouraged by his slow start to the 2024 season… saying As long as the Chiefs are winning, he’s happy.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has just eight receptions for 69 yards this year… and after the cameras caught him looking really sad on the sidelines of Kansas City’s game against Atlanta on Sunday night — many wonder if all of this is starting to wear on him.
But the future Hall of Famer downplayed his lack of production during a conversation with his brother, Jason Kelceon Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights“… explaining that he only cares about winning.
“I’ve had a lot of catches in this league, man,” he said. “I’m not worried about, you know, the catches and the yards and all that.”
He acknowledged that he is having a lot of fun when he is Patrick Mahomes‘ favorite target — but he continued to insist that winning “will always be the goal.”
Jason admitted it’s been frustrating for him to watch… especially as detractors come up with theories about his little brother’s lackluster first three games. But as a guy who’s been through his own ups and downs, he’s confident that’ll all change soon.
“I can’t wait for that to change,” Jason said.
That could happen for Travis as early as this Sunday… when the Chiefs take on their division rivals, the LA Chargers, at SoFi Stadium.
