Tia Mowry clarifies her recent comments about her relationship with Tamera Mowry-Housley
As The Shadow Room previously reported last week, Entertainment Tonight released an exclusive clip from Mowry’s upcoming reality show, ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Act.’ In the clip, Mowry opened up about adjusting to the new family dynamic between her and her ex-husband, Cory Hardrict. Specifically, the actress opened up about her and her husband no longer being in the same house.
“And when you drop your kids off at school, you actually visually see that that doesn’t happen anymore,” Mowry explained.
Additionally, in the clip, Mowry said that “being alone was the most challenging part” of her split from Hardrict.
“It’s times like this when I feel like I wish my sister and I were still close, and that I could pick up the phone and call her,” she added.
Furthermore, when Entertainment Tonight published the clip, the vehicle’s caption read: “Tia Mowry reveals she’s a bit estranged from twin Tamera in the series premiere… Tia lets the cameras into her life as she navigates her new normal after divorcing Cory Hardrict.”
In reaction, social media users seemed quite surprised for Mowry’s apparent revelation about the current state of her and Tamera’s relationship and the clip went viral.
So on Tuesday, September 24th, US Weekly published an exclusive interview with Mowry. Additionally, the mother of two explained that her statements were referring to the physical distance between her and her sister.
“In these transitions in life, sometimes you just want a hug, and you just want someone to be as accessible as they used to be, and that’s not the case. That’s called life,” she explained. “I love my sister so much. She loves me so much. We have a beautiful closeness and connection. But that’s what it was about. That’s how life unfolds, and that’s how it happens to a lot of families.”

While Instagram user @angelica_thecoolblerd added, “I understand they’re trying to save face, but she was specifically referring to not being able to call her sister because they weren’t as close.”
Instagram user @drtamierasharris wrote: “Prayers 🙏🏾 Auntie, go to NAPA. It’s a 1.5 hour flight. Have some wine and some girl time with your sister. You have the means to do this. Maybe a once a year weekend getaway for the two of you would be great or even a 1 day date that isn’t about work. You still need each other ❤️”
While Instagram user @__morganmaleisa added, “But didn’t she say she wished she could pick up the phone and call? Or am I tripping?”
