Specifically, Donald Trump gave a mother of three $100 for her purchases while promising to lower grocery prices if she were re-elected to the White House during a campaign stop Monday in Pennsylvania.
In a video shared by his campaign team, the US presidential candidate can be seen handing a $100 bill to a woman at the cash register of a supermarket in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, as cameras panned around the Republican presidential candidate.
“Here, it’s going to go down a little bit,” he said as he handed the woman the money. “(The bill) went down $100,” he said.
“Thank you very much,” the woman replied cheerfully.
“We’ll do that for you at the White House too, okay?” Trump told the woman before congratulating his children.
“Beautiful,” she says, before asking if they are her children.
Trump’s promise to reduce inflation
It is noted that Donald Trump has promised to combat rising inflation and reduce the daily cost of essential goods such as groceries and gasoline for Americans if he wins the November election.
The former president visited the local store and took home a large bag of popcorn ahead of his Indiana rally that day, the New York Post reported.
