Node Recovery and Resilience Fund includes the project “Development and Operation of the Multichannel Coordination, Navigation and Service Mechanism of the Ministry of Health”, with a total public expenditure of 35,464 thousand euros, decision of the Vice-Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis.
The aim of the program, according to a joint announcement by the Ministries of Finance and Health, is its greatest digital transformation YOU and improving citizen service, through a single multichannel system that will be the center for coordination, collection and transfer of information to health structures and services.
What does the program offer?
Among other things, it provides:
- the creation of a unified telephone service center,
- single central application for receiving and managing requests,
- coordination mechanism for orientation groups of health service recipients,
- modern service channels,
- conducting public satisfaction surveys,
- consulting services for quality assessment through performance metrics, for continuous improvement of the service mechanism,
- personal data protection measures.
The ministry responsible for and implementing the project is the Ministry of Health.
In his statement, the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis stated that “the digital transformation of the NHS is a real step forward for a struggling NHS, which needs to keep up with modern demands and challenges in the healthcare sector. The online interface with modern service channels is a guarantee of a new reality, shaping an efficient healthcare system with the aim of modernizing services, better managing care and capturing any weaknesses in the system, so that they can be resolved immediately, without delays and misinterpretations.”
For his part, the Vice-Minister of Economy and National Finance, Nikos PapathanasisHe stressed: “We are strengthening the NHS through continuous interventions in infrastructure, operations and human resources, which include the requalification of dozens of public hospitals and health centres throughout the Territory, as well as the digitalisation of the services offered to our fellow citizens on a daily basis. The assistance of European resources, such as those guaranteed by the country through the Recovery and Resilience Fund, as well as the fiscal margins created by the prudent economic policy of the Kyriakos Mitsotakis governments, contribute catalytically to the implementation of our commitments in the field of health, in improving daily life and in strengthening society. With a plan and actions, we continue the reforms, for the Greece we deserve”.
