Nadya Suleman reveals the milestone
In the early hours of Monday, September 23, Suleman took to Instagram to share a photo with her over 251,000 followers. The photo featured a pink blanket and a baby’s tiny foot. Suleman captioned the post with, “Thank you my son and lovely daughter-in-law for giving us this beautiful gift!”
“We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family!” Suleman added before revealing the birth date of her first granddaughter. “Baby girl, you are so loved and we can’t wait to watch you grow up!! 8/30/24 🙏🏽❤️”
At this point, it is still unclear which of his children Suleman was referring to in the caption. According to PEOPLEThe 49-year-old was a mother to six children — four boys and two girls — before becoming the first mother to welcome octuplets. According to the outlet, Suleman’s octuplets consist of six boys and two girls.

The “Octomom” has spoken openly about being pregnant with eight children
As The Shadow Room previously reported, in June 2023, Suleman reflected on her viral pregnancy with a carousel post shared via Instagram. Additionally, the post contained clips of Suleman working out at the gym. Meanwhile, her caption expanded on the various injuries she suffered due to “birthing octuplets” and how being active has helped her tremendously in healing.
“As a result of pregnancy, I have suffered three more herniated discs (I had a herniated disc from a work accident decades ago); bilateral sciatica; damaged sacrum and peripheral neuropathy (and a torn abdominal cavity to boot 💁🏻♀️),” she wrote at the time. “Such impairments would have left me incapacitated if I had led a sedentary lifestyle. Although it may seem counterintuitive, the more active I am, the less pain I feel.”
Finally, Suleman concluded her message by sharing advice for other parents.
“Don’t feel guilty about taking time to renew and recharge,” she wrote. “Your family will benefit immensely when you take care of your mind and body because you will have more positive energy to give. I wouldn’t have the mental or physical wherewithal to do what I do if it weren’t for working out!”
