Stefanos Kasselakis’ official announcement that he will regain the lead is expected within the next 48 hours.
It should be recalled that tomorrow, September 24, marks one year since his victory in the second round of the 2023 internal party elections, which elevated him to the leadership of SYRIZA, until his removal from the party bodies.
The landscape surrounding the SYRIZA leadership candidates is gradually becoming clearer. Pavlos Polakis has already announced his candidacy, although it is considered a matter of time before Sokratis Famouslos announces his candidacy. Olga Gerovasili clarified today that she will not be a candidate in the SYRIZA leadership race.
“There can be more than one candidate, but my understanding is that there should be one. I cannot answer for Mr. Famellos and I am waiting for him to answer. Many discussions have taken place and the best solution must be found. Today we are here to move forward and we have to see the main things,” said Ms. Gerovasili, when asked about this.
