Independent streamer Dropout has announced the full guest star lineup for the second season of its Vic Michaelis-hosted comedy interview series, “Very Necessary Individuals.”
“Very Necessary Individuals” features Michaelis as the host of a series of standard talk shows with a twist: All interview subjects undergo makeovers before they sit down to speak, and then must immediately invent a character to play during the interview.
Following the Aug. 14 announcement of guest stars for the eight main episodes of Season 2 of “Very Necessary Individuals,” which premieres Nov. 7, Dropout has confirmed that episodes 9 through 16 will star Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”), Nicole Byer (“Nailed It!”), Echo Kellum (“Arrow”), Corin Wells (“A Black Woman Sketch Show”), Alex Track-Xia (“Rick & Morty”) and Paul Robalino (“Smarypants”).
Additionally, “Very Necessary Individuals” season one friends Brennan Lee Mulligan (“Dimension 20”), Izzy Roland (“Intercourse Lives of Faculty Ladies”) and Lisa Gilroy (“Glamorous”) will return in new roles.

Previously announced cast members who will appear in the first half of “Very Necessary People” season 2 include John Early (“Search Party”) and Kate Berlant (“Don’t Fear Darling”), Danielle Pinnock (“Ghosts”), Chris Redd (“Saturday Night Live”) and Paul F. Tompkins (“Bojack Horseman”), as well as “VIP” stars Anna Garcia (“Fly Me to the Moon”), Kimia Behpoornia (“Abbott Elementary”), Jacob Wysocki (“Sport Changer”) and Zac Oyama (“Dimension 20”).
Michaelis’ “Very Necessary Individuals” is among a growing lineup of series offered by Dropout, which is best known for “Sport Changer,” “Make Some Noise” and “Dimension 20.” The first season, which aired 12 episodes from December 2023 to May 2024, was a priority push this year in the streamer’s first real FYC Emmys campaign.
“Very Necessary Individuals” is executive produced by David Kerns, Sam Reich and Michaelis. Co-executive producers of the Dropout sequel include Tamar Levine, who also directed every episode of Season 2, Paul Robalino and Kyle Rohrbach. Ebony Elaine Hardin is a supervising producer. Ariel Zucker is a producer.
