Her invitation to hold a second debate with Kamala Harris rejected by Donald Trump.
“It’s too late to have another debate, the voting has already started,” Trump said during a rally in North Carolina ahead of November’s presidential election.
Kamala Harris’ “Yes” in new debate
Previously, Kamala Harris’ team had announced that the US vice president had accepted an invitation from CNN to participate in a debate on October 23.
“Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate. It is the same format and structure as the CNN debate she participated in and claimed victory in in June, when she praised CNN’s moderators, rules and ratings,” said Kamala Harris’ campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon.
And Ms Harris herself said in her post that she would welcome a second debate on October 23, expressing the hope that Donald Trump would also attend.
I will be happy to accept a second presidential debate on October 23.
I hope @realDonaldTrump will join me. https://t.co/Trb8HUBsDh
