Panaitolikos and Asteras Tripoli drew 1-1 at Agrinio in the 5th round of the championship, in Claude Makelele’s debut on the Arcades bench.
A point that is a victory for the visitors, as Peloponnese finished the match playing with one man less in the 69th minute.
Asteras started stronger and in the 19th minute Houhoumis hit the post with a very strong shot from outside the area, but in the 28th minute and after Chavez’s initial save on Delhi’s header, Yablonski scored from close range to make it 0-1.
However, the guests did not enjoy the advantage for long, as in the 35th minute and after a pass from Bouzoukis and a turn from Torrejon, Lomonaco found himself alone and beat Papadopoulos to equalize.
In the 56th minute and in a completely identical phase, Torrejon met Lomonaco again, but this time the Asteras goalkeeper made a great save to keep the score at 1-1.
In the 69th minute, Triantafyllopoulos was shown a straight red card (due to VAR intervention) for strong marking on Belevonis. The Canaries tried to increase the pressure, hitting the post with Liava’s shot in the 81st minute, but Asteras managed to keep the score with intelligent management.
