A Louisiana rapper is suing Quavo for allegedly copying his 2015 track. According to legal documents obtained by TMZrapper Lamount Londonalso known as L.Mont, claims to have opened for 2Chainz and the Friends at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre in February 2016.
Details on the lawsuit against Quavo
After the show, London says he handed Quavo a CD featuring his track, ‘Bubble Gum,’ an upbeat, NOLA-vibe record he recorded in 2015. Additionally, Lamount London claims he never heard from Quavo again after that.
However, HotNewHipHop reports that two years later, Quavo released his debut studio album, ‘Quavo Huncho.’ London immediately noticed a track titled, ‘Bubble Gum’ and believed it mirrored his own.
