The Fire Department’s operation to rescue an injured person on Olympus has been completed.
Specifically, yesterday afternoon, the Fire Department Operations Center was notified to rescue an injured citizen, near the “Spilios Agapitos” shelter.
A search and rescue team was immediately formed, consisting of eight firefighters from the Litochoro Fire Department, as well as the Mountaineering Search and Rescue Team of the 2nd EMAK.
Initially, the injured man was immediately taken by private individuals to the shelter in question. The Firefighters, after approaching him, moved him to a nearby point, accessible to the heliport. There he was picked up by a Fire Department helicopter that transported him to the 110th Combat Wing of Larissa and was then picked up by an EKAV ambulance.
