A Roma group attacked OPKE police officers with sticks and stones at a camp in Nea Zoi Aspropyrgos.
The incident occurred at around 2:45 am on Sunday morning when the OPKE patrol went to a house in Nea Zoi Aspropyrgos specifically in a disturbance of the peace incident.
According to ELAS, upon arriving at the house, the police officers were attacked by a group of gypsies, resulting in injuries to four of them and damage to a patrol car. The police used stun grenades and chemical products to remove them from the scene.
Subsequently, the police team that received the attack was reinforced with three OPKE teams and returned to the house, arresting a 31-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman who were involved in the incident. The detainees were taken to TA Aspropirgos.
