Ms Gerovasili, speaking in Attica, seemed certain that St Kasselakis would not get a second chance in the country. She even stressed that “we will do our utmost to avoid such an eventuality”.
“This party gave St. Kasselakis too much tolerance and too much time,” Ms. Gerovasili commented, adding that “he should have retired with dignity.”
Olga Gerovasili described what is happening as an “existential moment for SYRIZA”.
Will she be nominated?
Referring to the question of whether she will run in the upcoming internal party elections, the SYRIZA MP noted that “the position of the presidential chair has never been questioned. I have shown this throughout my career.”
“In very difficult times, SYRIZA, the SYRIZA government, responded seriously and responsibly, and in any case with errors and omissions, but without departing from the basic principles, neither in political positions, nor in values, nor in ideology, of course. We have never forgotten that,” he added.
