A new scandal involving a protégé of Donald Trump could prove to be a serious blow to the former US president in one of the most critical states in the electoral battle, North Carolina.
Mark Robinson, the state’s lieutenant governor and Republican candidate for governor, is under fire from all sides. And that’s because inflammatory comments he wrote a decade ago on a pornographic website have come to light.
He is a fervent supporter of Trump, but as the American media comments, his personality is… extreme even by the standards of the MAGA movement. In a confrontation on a pornographic website, he declared himself a black Nazi, supported the reinstatement of the institution of slavery and called abortion murder and genocide.
The impact of the scandal
As CNN points out, he has made several other comments, of a sexual nature, that are too extreme to be published. Kamala Harris’s team has commented that the scandal highlights the immoral, extreme, anti-equality and anti-women positions of Donald Trump’s camp.
Political analysts have commented that the Robinson case could be disastrous for Trump’s chances of winning the state of North Carolina. Robinson, by the way, is a person we would have been unlikely to see elected if he did not have Donald Trump’s support. He returned the favor by supporting Trump’s theory of fraud in the 2020 election. They have similar positions and rhetoric on women, the LGBTI community and immigrants.
Jessica: We found out an hour ago that Mark Robinson, who Donald Trump called MLK on steroids, posted on a forum that he is a black Nazi…
