They are Snooki and Jionni LaValle Headed for Divorce?
Rumors about the Jersey Shore The couple has been making the rounds for several years now, but this time, fans are convinced that Snooki and Jionni are actually splitting up.
In fact, by 2024, Snooki had to address the rumors at least three separate times. It’s starting to look like there’s some validity to the phrase, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire!”
So what’s fact and what’s fiction? What’s rumor and what’s reality? Is Snooki headed for a divorce?

Meet Snooki’s Husband, Jionni
Nicole Polizzi and Jionni LaValle met like any young couple on the beach: at the Karma nightclub. In fact, Nicole was filming the third season of Jersey Shore at the time, but Jionni didn’t make a good first impression.
“I was like, ‘Oh, he’s cute. He’ll do for tonight,’” Snooki recalled in Larry King now in 2018.
But all that changed the more time she spent with Jionni and the more she got to know him. In fact, it didn’t take long for her to change her mind and realize that she had finally found her “cool, energetic, hot, tan guy”!
“I’m like, ‘I want to marry you!’” Niole told PEOPLE in 2011, recalling the moment he realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with LaValle. “I know he’s the one.”
The couple had two children, Lorenzo and Giovanna, before tying the knot at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, New Jersey, on November 29, 2014. Polizzi and LaValle welcomed their third child, Angelo, in 2019.
Snooki’s Divorce Rumors: How They Started
As a celebrity couple, rumors of a split can arise as soon as, well, the groom puts a ring on it! In Snooki’s case, divorce rumors have been constantly swirling throughout her 10-year marriage. But it peaked in 2024.
The latest round of speculation began when Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino posted photos from daughter Mia Bella’s first birthday party.
Several Coast stars were in attendance at the event, including Angelina Pivarnik, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola.
But Jionni was nowhere to be seen, and some fans were curious about his absence.
One person even commented on the photo to ask why Snooki’s husband was “never around.”
Nicole has been famous long enough to know that there’s not much to be gained by responding to trolls.
But Snooki’s patience has limits, just like everyone else’s, and she’s clearly tired of hearing the same accusations over and over again.
Snooki Speaks Out: Jersey Shore Star Addresses Divorce Rumors
“He’s at home with my three kids,” she responded to the hater. “Leave him alone.”
Fans were quick to come to Snooki’s defensewith many pointing out that Jionni has been quite vocal about his
“Nicole has stated numerous times that he really doesn’t like being in the public eye… he’s a private person,” one person wrote, according to In touch.
In fact, Jionni has addressed this issue several times in the past, including when he announced in 2018 that he would not participate in Jersey Shortsand reboot/spinoff series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
“Hey guys, I’m going to address this topic once and only once,” Jionni wrote on Instagram at the time.
“My wife is filming a scene of her packing up and leaving for her new show and I AM CHOOSING NOT to be on TV because I JUST DON’T like it,” he continued.
“Nicole and I are doing great and have become even stronger together as we raise our beautiful children.”
Jionni went on to explain that he “never wanted to be” a reality TV star and that he has his own business that he “works hard on.”
“My wife is a reality TV star and she works hard at it, that’s what she does. We are NOT divorced,” he explained.
Is Snooki hiding her divorce from the public?
Six months later, despite the denials, another report emerged in The US Sun, suggesting that Snooki was not only headed for divorce, but that she was already living separately from Jionni.
“They are apart most of the time. In the last few months, she said she hadn’t seen Jionni in a while and that he had moved out,” the source told the outlet.
In fact, the source insisted that the couple lives separately in the two homes they own in New Jersey.
However, when they are under the same roof – for the sake of the children and appearances – they do not sleep in the same bed, the source said.
“Nicole will sleep in her bed with the kids, and Jionni will stay in another room and won’t get into bed until she leaves.”
“She’s always said she doesn’t have the best relationship, she says it in front of everyone all the time but it never goes on air,” a second source said. The Sun of the USA.
