Horror in Italy. A 24-year-old student is accused of murdering and burying her two newborn babies on the outskirts of Parma.
The girl gave birth to and murdered her first child a year ago, while the murder of her second child was discovered by the carabinieri on August 8 this year. She put them in plastic bags and buried them in the garden of her family’s small house in Traversetolo.
The alleged child killer is accused of murder and concealment of bodies. The decisive evidence to indict her came from a DNA test.
Meanwhile, Italian media reports that neither her parents nor her fiancé knew she was pregnant. “Finally,” commented the young man’s mother, upon hearing the news of the young woman’s arrest.
Prosecutors now want to determine whether there is in fact an accomplice who, directly or indirectly, may have helped the student.
