By five units, it appears to be ahead of the Kamala Harris against him Donald Trumpin two important states, Pennsylvania and Michigan, as shown by a Quinnipiac University survey.
A week after the phone battle between the vice president and the former president, Harris has 51% of the vote in Pennsylvania, compared to 45% for Trump. This state is considered crucial in the race for the White House, as it guarantees whoever wins it more voters than six other states combined.
In Pennsylvania The telefight took place on September 10, which may be the only one between the two rivals. In the same state, Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt on July 13, when he was shot in the ear.
According to the Quinnipiac poll, Harris leads Trump in both Michigan (50% vs. 45%) and, marginally, in Wisconsin (48 vs. 47%).
Why are they considered key states?
The losing candidate in all three states theoretically has no chance of being elected. Trump won them in 2016, and Joe Biden emerged as the winner of all three in the 2020 election.
The poll, conducted Sept. 12-16, included 1,331 voters in Pennsylvania, 905 in Michigan and 1,075 in Wisconsin. The margin of statistical error is 2.7-3.3%.
