Jenn Tran has just a few words of advice for Joan Vassos ahead of Wednesday’s premiere of “Golden Bachelorette.”
“I would tell her that you already know yourself better than anyone else — and your loved ones and friends, too,” the reality star told Page Six’s Desiree Murphy following her “Dancing With the Stars” debut on Tuesday night.
“Just lean on your family and friends. That’s what I did, and that’s what really helped me get through it all.”
Tran, who starred as the lead on season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” also advised Vassos to stay off social media while his episodes are airing.
“Normally, the internet can be a pain, and I would just say stay off the internet as much as you can!” the 26-year-old said wryly.
Tran, 26, joined the contemporary dance competitors following her stint on the ABC franchise, which led to heartbreak after ex-fiancé Devin Strader called off their engagement over the phone.
However, the former reality star — who danced movingly to Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” during Tuesday’s premiere — says joining “DWTS” after “such a public breakup” has been empowering for her.
“I’ve been through heartbreaks before, and after every heartbreak, it’s vital to pour vitality back into yourself. Understand that you can be impartial and that you can buy yourself flowers… and do all the things you’d want someone to do.”
The judges gave Tran, who was partnered with Sasha Farber, a mixed score of 19/30 for her energetic cha cha.
Meanwhile, her former love interest and former “Bachelor” contestant Joey Graziadei will also be competing on season 33, which kicked off Tuesday night.
He and partner Jenna Johnson shocked viewers — and the judges — with their spectacular performance to Tyler Hubbard’s “Dancin’ In The Nation.” The duo scored 21/30 on the cha cha.
Graziadei, who is engaged to Kelsey Anderson, told Page Six on the post-show red carpet that “it’s been pleasant” between him and Tran backstage, despite their history.
“It was cool,” the 29-year-old said. “It was cool, I wouldn’t even call it a contest.”
He continued, “I think one of the best things about this is everyone is rooting for each other. Like, we all know it’s so challenging, it’s so out of everyone’s comfort zone. So we’re just trying to come together and make sure everyone does the best they can.”
While Graziadei is rooting for the other opponents, he’s also rooting for Vassos, 61, as she prepares for the chaos that is Bachelor Nation.
“I don’t think I can give Joan any recommendations. She’s clearly an incredible woman,” he informed us. “She’s lived a full life and accomplished so many wonderful things on her own.”
While typical “Bachelor” contestants are still “deciding things about themselves,” the former tennis coach says he loves watching an older generation who “are so confident” and “know who they are.”
“They are such a healthy part of this and I can’t wait to watch them,” he said enthusiastically.
Twenty-four men — all in their 60s — will compete for Vassos’ love on “The Golden Bachelorette,” which premieres Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. In the meantime, fans can watch Graziadei and Tran compete on “Dancing With the Stars,” Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
