The ESIEA Ethics Oversight Body disapproves of the “unprecedented”, as stated in the relevant statement, action five journalists of the members of the National Council of Radio and Television, “who voted to shelve the complaints of the newspapers ‘Estia’ and ‘Demokratia’, according to which the media in question are excluded from the morning news broadcasts of the television stations ‘Mega’ and ‘Sky’, arguing that their front pages do not fall within the news part of the presentation.
“On the contrary,” the ESIEA statement added, “the three members of the ESR, who are justice officials, argued that this action is unconstitutional and undemocratic. It is a violation of citizens’ right to information. It creates unfair competition and is completely against journalistic ethics and morality.”
