The total amount of refunds from AADEwhile the target for the 9th month was 4.919 billion euros, exceeding it by 389 million euros.

At the same time, AADE specifically mentions:
- The number of pending refund claims from January 1, 2022 to date has decreased by 62%. In 2024, 4,022,000 refund claims were filed and 4,717,000 claims were processed.
- Personal income tax refunds for this year’s declarations were made, through payments or compensations, at a rate of 93.55%, exceeding 432 million euros.
- Last month, interoperability for mass offsets of tax refunds with debts to insurance funds (via IDIKA) was completed, further speeding up automated refunds.
- Following the implementation of the new centralized reimbursement system, almost 95% of reimbursement requests, for which no audit is required and there is no legal or factual obstacle to reimbursement, are reimbursed or cleared centrally through automated processes.
It is clarified that the number of pending returns is subject to seasonal conditions, depending on the submission period for each type of declaration.
