Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have inspired people to get out and vote in the upcoming US presidential election.
In honor of National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, staff at the couple’s Archewell Foundation wrote personalized letters to “help and empower” unregistered voters.
“Voting is not just a right; it is an elementary method of affecting the destiny of our communities,” read a press release shared on its website.
“At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, regardless of political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world,” he continued. “By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters.”
Inspiration used Vote Ahead’s letter-writing device for guidance and invited others to “be a part of this necessary effort.”
“Collectively, let’s ensure that every eligible voter has the knowledge and power to participate in shaping America’s future,” the statement concluded.
Archewell also shared a series of photos of its volunteers hard at work. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not pictured.
This isn’t the first time the couple has spoken out about the importance of voting. Ahead of the 2020 election, Harry, 40, and Markle, 43, shared a similar message during an ABC special.
“Every four years we’re told the same thing, that this is a very powerful choice of our lifetime,” Markle said in the video. “But this one is.”
“Once we vote, our values are set in motion and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you simply matter, because you do matter and you should be heard too.”
Earlier that year, the “Fits” alum also made cold calls to U.S. citizens and encouraged them to go to the polls.
Although the red-haired royal was unable to vote in the 2020 election, he inspired Americans to vote in a way that would “reject hate speech, misinformation and negativity online.”
Although the couple has been very outspoken about the importance of voting, they have never endorsed a presidential candidate.
However, ahead of the final election, Markle spoke out in support of Kamala Harris after she was introduced as Joe Biden’s running mate.
At the time, the former actress told Gloria Steinem that she was “excited” to see Harris — who is of Jamaican and Indian descent — included in the poll.
“For me, being biracial, growing up, whether it’s a doll or a person in the workplace, you would want to see someone who looked like you in some capacity,” she explained.
“As many people consider, you can only be what you see. And in the absence of that, how can you aspire to something greater than what you see in your personal world? I believe that perhaps now we are beginning to break through in another way.”
Four years later, Harris is poised to take on Donald Trump — a fierce critic of Harry and Markle — in the 2024 election.
While the former royals haven’t revealed who they’re voting for, several other celebrities — including Taylor Swift, George Clooney, Billie Eilish and more — have endorsed the vice president.
