At the same time, as I learned from the Police, shortly before 6:00 am, vehicle traffic was reestablished on the old Athens-Corinth motorway, which was closed yesterday due to the fire.
It is recalled that the fire broke out shortly before 6pm on Tuesday, with thick black smoke rising. However, due to the highly flammable materials, there is no room for complacency and the extinguishing operation is expected to last many hours until the risk of re-ignition or expansion is eliminated.
