The son of the man suspected of attempted murder Donald Trump says his father hates the former president… but is shocked, because his father is not a violent person.
Ryan Wesley Routhson of Oranspoke to the Daily Mail … saying his father hates Trump like “every reasonable person does.” Like father, like son — Oran is no fan of the former president either, but was shocked to learn his father is the gunman who allegedly attacked Trump at a Florida golf club on Sunday.
Oran says that, as far as he knows, his father’s troubles with the law only include a few traffic tickets… but that’s far from the truth.
In 2002, Ryan Routh was reportedly arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon of mass destruction… referring to a fully automatic machine gun. This occurred after a 3-hour standoff with police when he barricaded himself inside a roofing company in Greensboro, NC.
Ryan — who reportedly lives in Hawaii — has had several interactions with police in recent years, including being removed from a property for alleged squatting in 2019.
As for his political views… we know that Ryan Routh is a staunch supporter of Ukraine in its war with Russia. He even traveled to Kiev in 2022, where he tried to connect foreigners with military units and aid groups.

In an interview with Newsweek, Routh explained why he felt compelled to go to Ukraine… “To me, a lot of other conflicts are gray, but this conflict is definitely black and white. This is about good versus evil.”
Ryan has also criticized Trump multiple times on social media. A chilling post from his now-suspended X account shows that in June 2020 Routh said, “I’ll be glad when you’re gone,” after previously supporting DT in 2016.
Routh has demonstrated ties to the Democratic Party… by voting in the 2024 North Carolina Democratic primary. In recent years, he has made small contributions to the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue. But Routh has also reportedly supported Republican presidential primary candidates. Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy.
