Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck just can’t seem to stay apart.
Even when the legal documents say they have to do so.
At the end of August, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck of a summer spent with almost no company from her famous husband in any way, shape or form.
It was an event that the whole world saw coming.
On Saturday, however, the estranged spouses were spotted with their children at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.
And they weren’t simply discussing the details of their impending divorce, according to one observer.
“Ben and JLo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing. The kids are with them but at a separate table,” she said. source told Page Six.
Yes, that really says it holding hands and kissing.
At another point, the stars were photographed having what appeared to be an intense conversation in a car parked outside the building.
Affleck’s children — Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 — as well as Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max, were also spotted with their parents inside the hotel.
Adding to the confusion and/or complexity?
Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, who was ALSO seen leaving the hotel with the kids after grabbing brunch. Apparently there’s a lot going on here, folks.
Lopez filed for divorce on what would have been the couple’s second wedding anniversary, citing irreconcilable differences as grounds for the split.
The singer/actress also cited April 26 as the date of their split, which reinforced widespread speculation in recent months that Affleck and Lopez essentially ended their romantic relationship.
Affleck has been seen with his wedding ring for years, while the couple even they put the house they shared up for sale in June.
The stars first got together in 2002, only to get engaged and call off the engagement two years later.
They each had children and married other people, reconciling in 2021 after Lopez broke off her romance with former steroid user Alex Rodriguez.
Both allegedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement before they got married, which could lead to a battle over assets, including the Beverly Hills mansion they put up for sale for $68 million more than two months ago.
Did Lopez and Affleck simply discuss this issue over the weekend?
Yes.
By at least one account, however, their tongues were doing a lot more than just talking. Stay tuned for more!
