At a time when Western countries accuse Tehran of delivering ballistic missiles in Russia in September, the president from Iran Massoud Pezeskian said today that his government has not handed over any weapons since taking office in August.
The US and its allies last week alleged that Iran had delivered ballistic missiles to Russia for its war in Ukraine and imposed new sanctions on Moscow and Tehran.
Both Russia and Iran have denied these allegations.
“Maybe in the past”
When asked whether Iran had delivered missiles to Russia, Pezheskian replied at his press conference: “It is possible that there was a delivery in the past (…) but I can assure you that after I took office there was no such delivery to Russia.” Russia ».
Reuters reported in February that Iran had supplied Russia with a large number of surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, boosting military cooperation between the two countries under U.S. sanctions.
