Body camera footage was released showing Gray Foal and his father, Colinbeing interviewed by police. The footage reportedly shows the pair being questioned on May 21, 2023, after Colt allegedly made initial threats to shoot up the school.

More details on the body camera footage of Colt Gray and Colin Gray
According to TMZThe Jackson County Sheriff released the footage of the then-13-year-old and his father on Monday, September 9. The footage was reportedly recorded while the department was investigating an alleged school shooting threat that Colt “made on the social media platform Discord.”
Put CBS Newsat the time, the specific school targeted in the alleged threats was “unspecified.” However, TMZ adds that the threats were allegedly made to a “previous school” that Colt attended.
Furthermore, the eighteen minute footage shows authorities arriving at Gray’s home. Colin Gray opens the door to the officers as one of them informs him that they received a “tip from the FBI” about “someone… making a threat to shoot up a school.”
When speaking to police, Colin explained that he and Colt’s mother had separated and were evicted from their previous home. Additionally, Colin explained that his son initially “struggled a bit” in school. However, he had been improving recently.
Here’s what the pair told authorities about the school shooting threats
As the conversation continued, Colin confirmed to officers that he had weapons in his home, which his son had access to.
“There’s nothing loaded, but they’re there,” Colin explained.
Additionally, his father explained that he and his son hunt deer together. However, he was “shocked” by the reported threats.
“I’m trying to teach him about firearms and safety and how to do all that,” Colin said. “…So he knows how serious guns are and what they can do and how to use them and not use them, so it’s kind of a shock, so…please instill in him (Colt), that no matter where this came from, this is no joke.”
Additionally, Colin explained that Colt was “being picked on at school” and they shared numerous conversations about school shootings.
About eight minutes into the footage, Colt comes out to speak to the officers. He claims he never made the threats and “promised” he would “never say” anything “like that.” Eventually, the officers explained that they were taking the two men at their word.

As The Shadow Room Previously reported, the 14-year-old opened fire at Apalachee High School in Georgia on September 4. Colin allegedly killed two teachers and two other 14-year-old students.
According to the Georgian Bureau of InvestigationSeven people were shot during the incident, while nine were injured. TMZ adds that Colin used an AR-15 style rifle during the attack, which was reportedly purchased by his father.

“Colin Gray knowingly permitted his son, Colt Gray, to possess a firearm,” the GBI notes.
