“Today, the part of SYRIZA that essentially supported Kyriakos Mitsotakis faced the part that expresses society. We won today. We will win the final goal,” stressed Christos Spirtzis, in his first statement after the vote of no confidence in Stefanos Kasselakis.
Socrates Famellos’ first reaction
In turn, Sokratis Famellos said that “a democratic process for SYRIZA has been concluded. It has proven that the members of KE, elected directly by the grassroots, want a new political proposal that will get us out of the impasse. The next day will find us united.”
Famellos added that “SYRIZA will soon be ready through the Congress that will approve not only the appointments but also a political proposal. No trace has been left in SYRIZA. There are no dead ends. The members of the Central Committee have chosen to turn the page.”
He added that “we will all be in SYRIZA, members and soldiers. I have taken on responsibilities in the past and will always serve in whatever position the party decides.”
