Distance makes the heart grow fonder… but for Katy Perrywas a life changer after their year-long separation Orlando Bloom.
The pop star reflected on the cause of her and Bloom’s 2017 breakup on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast… admitting she wasn’t fully invested in the relationship when they first met in 2016.
She added… “I had just gotten out of a relationship and was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond,’ but I still had a lot of real work to do.”
According to Katy, she was a fan of playing “cat and mouse games” with her partners… noting that she was often drawn to the drama.
However, KP noted that the actor began attending the Hoffman Institute during the early stages of their relationship… where he did a lot of personal work. After the process, he returned and was no longer open to playing the games — so KP got bored and decided to walk away from the relationship.
However, Katy credits this time apart as helping her become the woman she is today… as she also attended the Hoffman Institute and learned a lot about herself.
Watch the video… she continues — “I had a really tough year and I finally went to Hoffman at the end of the year that we were apart. Then I got the tools and spoke the same language, and it changed my life.”
In fact, the singer said that this work “saved (her) life”, as she believed that “she would be dead without it”.
Katy and Orlando finally reconciled, getting engaged in 2019 and welcoming your daughter, Dove Daisythe following year.
Looks like these two are no longer “Hot and Cold”.
